| We are a small family business, established since 1986. (Jean, Karen, Derek & Damian). We started with mainly tropical sea shells, but now stock as many gemstones, crystals and fossils as we do shells. We specialise in unusual gifts which can be personalised with a name or message of your choice, which is put on while you wait, dries instantly and better still costs no extra! Huge selection of fridge magnets, many hand-made in the shop, including a range with photographs of mablethorpe on. (Photo range also available in keyrings, bookmarks and badges) |
Jean can often be found sorting tiny shells and making them into flowers, while Karen spends her time making popular models, earrings, pendants and brooches from Fimo modelling clay. Damian joined us on leaving school in 2004 and became a partner in 2007. He makes some of the jewellery and fimo models and helps Jean in the office, he also owns Belas Toys & Sports Shop next door! Derek makes the large shells into lights which have been featured in the Sunday Express colour supplement and Elle Decoration magazine. We also stock a wide variety of wood carvings and beautiful ornaments made from recycled tin, both from Bali, all fair trade and very popular. |
