Established in 2001 with the support of the Town Council and the Mablethorpe Tourism Forum, the Mablethorpe Website seeks to promote the Town and district of Mablethorpe. It is financed primarily by the businesses in and around the town. It features information about the Lifeboat..
The Webmaster thanks all the businesses and organisations who have contributed. Particularly I thank those firms that do not need the publicity but help anyway for the sake of the community.
If your business, organisation or club would like a place on this site them please contact the Webmaster for details. Please note that voluntary organisations can also have space with a nominal contribution..
In Mablethorpe many people have been very helpful by way of support, encouragement and practical help. I particularly thank Tony Cumberworth, Town Clerk ( - 2007) and Michael Kheng, chairman of the Mablethorpe Tourism Forum ( - 2004) who have given so much practical help and letters of reference.
I thank also Dave and Liz McCarthy of Aura Lee Guest House (now the Aura Guesthouse under new ownership) who were the first to register and were actively involved in promoting the project. Also Mr. Eaton of the Carnival Committee for his enthusiasm for promoting the Town.
2012 sees a major development of the Mablethorpe Website with the sharing of resources with the Mablethorpe Area Partnership.
Town Manager, Karen Froggatt says 'We are delighted with the partnership agreement and want the new look website to be a fully comprehensive resource for all web users who are searching for information on businesses, local organisations, services and events etc in the area. It will provide lots of useful information for locals and visitors to the area, helping to raise awareness of what we have on offer and increase visitor numbers'.
Keith Butters of Bowhunter Websites, says, 'This is a strategic development for the Mablethorpe Town Website which will help to increase the promotion of East Coast tourism and businesses'.
The new look the Mablethorpe Town website (www.mablethorpe.info) was launched on 1st June 2012.
