Stuff and Things on Promenade, Mablethorpe
Walkabout Mime Show With Soundtrack. Edmond accidentally
finds himself trapped in a perpendicular world of absurdity, where
the bizarre is always close on his heels. Amidst a reality of swarming
angry bees, spaghetti western gun fights, alarm bells, improbably
large monsters, ringing telephones, crashing glass, low flying helicopters,
packs of hunting hounds, squeaky prams etc etc…. he attempts
to keep his composure.

See this Mighty Man of Muscles! He who leaves ladies weeping - at
the mere sight of him.
His show involves an array of serious lifting, Globe spinning and
acrobatic feats!
He is indeed, the only man alive who can lift a ton with his posterior!

Madame
Bentley brings good luck to all - Liz Bentley in Mablethorpe
Direct from a succesful run at this year's Edinburgh Festival. Visit
Madame Bentley in her hut of good luck. Liz Bentley is a musician,
comedienne, poet, writer and therapist who aims to sort out the
future of Maplethorpe seasiders! Come into the hut individually,
with friends or family and ask Liz for what you require. An
alternative to a fortune teller! No two visits will be the same.

Shiznitz! in Hut and Seafront,
Mablethorpe
The team that bought 'See the Strange
Thing' to last year's festival now bring us the musical mayhem
of Shiznitz! Shiznitz! are a four piece musical ensemble, performing
mostly original material. A rabble rousing raucous skiffle folk
cabaret, incorporating banjos, giant plant pot one string bass,
suitcase drum kit, fiddle, saw, ukelele, guitar, spoons, washboard,
concertina, melodeon, kazoo and lots of singing.
They will play in front of their beach hut base or stroll the promenade
stopping to deliver impromptu musical entertainment to the public.
Labyrinth at Equinox - Linda King
in a Hut and Beach, Mablethorpe
Land artist Linda King creates art with natural materials and found
objects. She will create a full scale labyrinth on the beach. Come
and watch, help and on Saturday evening come and walk the candle
lit maze to celebrate the winter equinox.
Tiddy Mun- Frolicked on Beach,
Mablethorpe
Tiddy Mun was an old bearded spirit that could be called upon to
rid the flood waters around the carrs, North Lincolnshire, where
he resides. Locals would call: "Tiddy
Mun without a name, the water's rough!" And Tiddy Mun
would do his work...A beach based puppet show for all the family.

The
Road to Nowhere - Ramshacklicious on Promanade, Mablethorpe
Nana is at death's door but until her three grandsons are
happily married she cannot rest in peace!
But who will be good enough for Nana's Boys?
Nobody knows how long they've been travelling, not even them. Dragging
Nana's redundant coffin and dressed in dishevelled wedding apparel,
their quest has become a sideshow of serenades, a never-ending search
for the perfect bride!
Flights of Fondant Fancy - Dodgy
Totty on Promanade, Mablethorpe
The return of Dodgy Totty, who wowed us with 'Ladies of the Waves'
last year with a new performance set in a 1940s teashop.

Documenting
the festival - Vijay Patel in Mablethorpe/Sutton
Every aspect of the festival will be documented over the two days
in a giant mobile painting created by Vijay Patel and Elise Buddle.
Paper Huts - Stephanie Richards
in a Hut, Mablethorpe
Come and decorate beautiful miniature paper beach huts which will
gradually form a world of tiny huts within a hut, over the festival
weekend.
In Search of Albion- Malcolm Tait
on Beach, Sutton on Sea
Malcolm Tait's installation of a giant deckchair and seaside paraphenalia
which was one of the hits of last year's festival, this time visits
the beach in Sutton on Sea. |
