Greetings Everyone, welcome to Mablethorpe Carnival 2001 The rain let up for the beginning of the Carnival Procession leaving Sherwood Field. |

| Later, despite the inhospitable weather, a good crowd turned out to see thirteen floats and two marching bands. Jim Eaton (chairperson), although not in the best of health led the parade accompanied by his wife, June (vice-chairperson) and Maureen Allsop (treasurer.) The mayor and his wife followed in an open topped vintage car. The parade included the lifeboat and the fire brigade. Please wait for pictures... |

| 2001 Carnival week was from Sunday 5th August - Sunday 12th August. We have won by a mile when we see you all smile. The Carnival Committee gave £300 to the Ben Curry Duet - Wheelchair/Cycle Fund. Half of the money was raised at the auction on Sept 16th at the Louth Hotel. Presentation By Kris Colliver the auctioneer for the night. Presentation Night Sept. 29th, At the Dunes Family Entertainment Centre. All trophies won on parade day were presented, And cheques for £1000 each to the two supported Charities, Friendship Lincs, and Mablethorpe League of Friends. |
