Jubilee event in Mablethorpe enjoyed by all
Diamond Jubilee celebrations went off with a bang in Mablethorpe over the extended Bank Holiday weekend, with local people and visitors coming together to take part in celebrations for the Diamond Jubilee
Organised and funded by East Lindsey District Council, the celebrations which were attended by 2500 people in total, saw live music and colourful entertainment throughout the day. Celebrations came to a close on Monday evening with the lighting of the Jubilee Beacon and a spectacular firework display.
Portfolio Holder for Culture, Leisure and Tourism at the District Council, Councillor Adam Grist said: ‘The celebrations were another exciting event to help boost the local economy and the day had a real community feel to it. We hope events like these help support businesses and give local people and visitors a great experience.'
