MASCOT Logo MASCOT was revived in 2008 to support traders and business as we work on the physical and economic regeneration of our seaside towns. By representing its members concerns in a constructive and professional way, MASCOT has formed good relationships with many of the organisations that effect the business environment allowing us to influence strategy and thinking at local, district and county level.

In late 2012 the MASCOT committee and members agreed to join forces with the Town Centre Partnership Board and Tourism Forum to create a new Community Interest Company (CIC) – note that the current MASCOT chairman, treasurer and secretary are already members of the Partnership Board.  In return the CIC will ensure that its board always incorporates a minimum of 3 active business representatives to ensure it remains "the voice of local business" which is vital when organisations such as ELDC are trying to obtain funding for the area.

The new CIC will concentrate the efforts of volunteers previously spread among three committees and help ensure the long term sustainability of the position of Town Centre Manager which is now the driving force between most of Mablethorpe's festivals and several successful funding bids.

How to Join

MASCOT is not currently seeking membership or renewal fees as we go through the process of amalgamating with the Town Centre Partnership Board and Tourism Forum to create the CIC.  Upon completion of this process membership is anticipated to be open to traders, merchants, and professional men and women in practice in Mablethorpe, Sutton and the surrounding area, property owners, companies, firms (sole traders or partnerships), having business or trading interests therein, and associations of traders or professional persons.
