The Church was started in the 12th century this photo shows it covered in Ivy as it was before the war it was refurbished in 1938-9 the old high pews were taken out. One of the statues of the two knights who fought for the bridge which ever since is known as Earls bridge see old pre war photo the effigy was kept in the church, there was a nice old carved font and stain glass window.
