MABLETHORPE'S first ever Angel Festival organised by Mablethorpe's Chamber of Trade and Tourism Forum.

There was a best dressed angel competition, carols and mince pies and mulled wine enjoyed by many. Helem Matthews said the festival was a success and will return bigger and better next year - along with a host of other events.

Gemma Cullen won the best dressed angel contest for the toddlers to five years age category. Other winners were - Katie Crossley in the six to 13 years section, April Halford in the 14 to 19 age group and Graham Cullen in the 20 to 100 years category. The judging took place at the Station Sports Centre and then entertainment was provided at Spanish City.

Carols and live music in Spanish City with the nativity performed at 6pm and singing from 6.30pm.

Festive food, craft, tomobola stalls also at Spanish city as will Father Christmas grotto.

This was a festival for all ages. Santa's Grotto and the Christmas market was in the Spanish City courtyard with seasonal food tasting and christmas decorations.
