TRUSTHORPE ALLOTMENT GARDENS ASSOCIATION The Clerk referred to the attached draft lease between the Council and the Trusthorpe Allotment Gardens Association. Members noted that it had always been the intention that the Trusthorpe allotments would be self-managed, thus reducing the level of administration costs that are chargeable to the tenants as part of their annual rents. The Clerk recommended that a reduction of 20% be made to the allotment rents with effect from 1st April 2007 subject to the site being self-managed. It was noted that the Association had requested a 50% reduction. Members felt that whilst the Association’s proposals for development of the allotment site would include teaching school children about the advantages of growing and eating fresh fruit and vegetables, there were other sections of the community that needed to be considered for financial support. It was therefore proposed, seconded and 103. CLERK’S CORRESPONDENCE (i) Lincolnshire Mobile Police Office – visiting Sutton-on-Sea
