16. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies for absence were received and accepted from Cllrs Mrs I Daw
(personal) and R B Shields, MBE (personal).
17. APPOINTMENT OF TOWN CLERK/RESPONSIBLE FINANCE OFFICER
The Clerk referred to the attached minutes of the Appointments Panel
meeting held on Friday 1st June 2007. It was noted that the Appointments
Panel had recommended that Mr Alan Tasker be appointed Town Clerk/Responsible
Finance Officer to Mablethorpe and Sutton Town Council.
Some members spoke in support of the appointee and it was proposed,
seconded and
Resolved:
(i) That Mr Alan Tasker be appointed Town Clerk/Responsible Finance Officer
with effect from 1st July 2007, and
(ii) That Mr Tasker’s starting salary be within salary point 36
of the National Joint Council for Local Government Services Pay Scales.
