Flood Wardens |
The most valuable asset within any community is the community itself – especially if those members are prepared to offer assistance and support to that community. Community Flood wardens play a critical role in helping communities to prepare for and against the risk of potential flooding. Their local knowledge is key to both preventing flooding and also for minimising the impacts of flooding should and when it does occur. Being a flood warden isn’t all about flooding; your role within the community is crucial for the wellbeing of all community members during other situations such as severe weather, providing valuable information to and from members ensuring your community keeps calm and carries on. If you would like more information on becoming a flood warden or would like to apply please call Steve Eason-Harris on 01522 580322 or email steve.harris@lincoln.fire-uk.org
