Intergenerational Line Dancing Event
ELDC Neighbourhood Management, LCC Children’s Services, the Senior and Youth Forum are hosting a Intergenerational Line Dancing Event on
Saturday 6th February, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Meridale Hall, Sutton on Sea.
The event is free of charge and refreshments will be provided.
There will be free transport for anyone from Mablethorpe who would like a lift to the event.
Ros Hicks, Secretary of the Senior Forum commented “Intergenerational events help the young to understand the old and the old to understand the young. By each generation coming together it helps dispel the stereotypes and prejudices that so many of us apply to each other today., We were all young once and we all get old, so we are not different, we just see things differently. The Mablethorpe and District Seniors Forum fully support the line dancing event and hope that many other senior citizens will also come along with the attitude of ‘Vive la difference’!”
Alex Ruby, Youth Forum Member, commented “It helps to build relationships between different generations through their experiences.”
Neisha Perkins, Youth Forum Member, commented “This is an event where all ages of the community can come together.”
If you would like further information about this event or would like to book transport to the event please contact either Debbie Prince, ELDC Neighbourhood Projects Officer, on 01507 329567 (email debbie.prince@e-lindsey.gov.u) or Karen Cartwright, LCC Children’s Services Youth Worker, on 01507 472613.
