Boyes and Co-op are set to serve-up their first partnership together in Mablethorpe with the re-launch of the Seacroft Road Co-op store including a brand new Boyes concession.
Co-op has undertaken a more than £1.5M, 12-week programme of improvements to transform its 17,000 sq ft store, which now includes the addition a new 3,600 sq ft Boyes home and family department store inside. Family-owned Boyes has created 12 new retail jobs with the opening of its newest store which will sell an extensive range of crafts, DIY, homewares.
The Seacroft Road Co-op supports around 50 local jobs and includes a free ATM, Post Office services, bakery, Costa coffee dispenser, and an extensive range and focus on fresh, healthy products, meal ideas, food-to-go, award winning wines, Fairtrade, ready meals and pizzas, free-from, vegan and plant-based products and, everyday essentials.
The store also includes customer car parking, and is powered by 100% renewable electricity. A new self-service launderette is being added to the car park and, Co-op’s online shop – coop.co.uk/shop – has also been introduced at the store to offer online home delivery and click & collect of Co-op groceries.
A funding boost is provided locally through Co-op’s Membership programme. Membership of the Co-op unlocks additional value and sees Members rewarded with 2p in every pound they spend on Co-op branded products which is added to their own personal Membership account balance. The Co-op also donates the same amount to local causes. Students in Mablethorpe who are TOTUM cardholders – the new name for NUS extra – also receive a 10% discount of Co-op groceries.
