The new Mablethorpe Neighbourhood Board is ready to get to work for the local community after the appointment of its first members.
The new Board, which will be overseeing the development and delivery of the Pride in Place programme in the area, is bringing together members with different expertise and knowledge but all with a shared ambition for Mablethorpe.
As a community-led board, the new members joining Chair Jacqueline Robinson represent a broad cross-section of the local community and will help ensure that local voices, experience and priorities shape the work of the Board. The membership
has been developed to promote community leadership, with the majority of members living or working within the boundary area.
Members include Barnaby Prince from Lincolnshire Police, Police Community Support; Claire Woodward from ACIS Group; Laura Spurr from Active Lincolnshire; Liam Grimes from The Community Table CIC; Naomi Baker from Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure & Culture; Nicola Craven from the National Trust; Sue Fortune from Lincolnshire Community Foundation; Viv Cross from LN12 Youth Forum; and Councillor William Gray of East Lindsey District Council, Portfolio Holder for Communities and Ageing Better.

The Board will also be supported by members Victoria Atkins, MP for Louth and Horncastle, and Councillor Graham Cullen, Ward Councillor for Mablethorpe at East Lindsey District Council, who will act as champions for their local community.
Jacqueline Robinson, Chair, Mablethorpe Neighbourhood Board said: “I am so pleased that our new board members have been recruited and we are now in a position to get to work for our area.

The announcement of the new board members comes as a series of community events and conversations takes place this summer to capture feedback, thoughts, and ideas from local people to shape how the funding is invested in the community. The Government’s Pride in Place programme has been set up with the aims of thriving places, building stronger communities, and taking back control. Through Pride in Place, Mablethorpe will receive up to £20 million in government funding over ten years, starting from 2027.
