This December, Santa’s reindeer will be making their way to towns across East Lindsey for shoppers to find.

The Reindeer Hunt will include shops in five towns across the district, encouraging residents and visitors to search for the characters while also getting stuck into their Christmas shopping.

Funded by the East Lindsey Investment Fund (ELIF), which is using the council’s own money to invest directly into the district, the trail aims to increase footfall and support the area’s businesses in the run up to Christmas.

Rudolph and eight of his pals will be hiding in the windows of nine shops in each town, meaning shoppers can enjoy a trail around the businesses to find them.

Businesses in Mablethorpe, Skegness, Spilsby, Sutton on Sea and Wainfleet are all taking part in the hunt.

The competition runs from Monday, December 1 to Tuesday, December 16 and there will be festive themed prizes on offer for the three winners from each location across South and East Lincolnshire!

Councillor Adam Grist, Portfolio Holder for market towns and the rural economy, said: “We are thrilled to be able to support this fun initiative to help our businesses, residents and visitors get into the festive spirit.

“This is a great way for people of all ages to get into their local towns to support as many businesses as possible.

“Shopping locally plays a vital part in keeping our local economy, towns and villages thriving – and it also presents the opportunity for you to explore what our area has to offer.
