mablethorpe.infoThe Mablethorpe Model Boat group is a casual group meeting twice a week at the Queens Park Boating Lake. The group sail a variety of off the shelf, kit built and scratch built radio controlled boats. Electric, steam and sail are all welcome – there is even a duck being pursued by a shark!
The group meets after 5:30 on Wednesday and Sunday nights during the summer and around lunch time in the colder months. All meets are weather dependant. There is a social aspect and members often meet up when not sailing the boats.
New participants are welcome to join them as are spectators and arm chair modellers. The group has permission to use the lake so joining the Mablethorpe Model Boat Group (no fee) and abiding by a few simple criteria will allow you to use it too.
